2011 Floods

Dom Cobb: What is the most resilient parasite? A bacteria? A virus? An intenstinal worm?
Arthur: Ah, what Mr Cobb is trying to...
Dom Cobb: An idea. Resilient, highly contagious. Once an idea has taken hold of the brain it's almost impossible to eradicate. An idea that is fully formed, fully understood. That sticks, right in there somewhere. [points to his head]
Saito: For someone like you to steel?
Arthur: Yes in dream state your conscious defences are lowered and it makes your thoughts vulnrable to theft. It's called extraction.

Also there were some floods up north somewhere. But Grafton appears to be okay, we were prepared and built a levy 10 years ago to prepare for this(it was like 35 years ago but who's counting).

So anyone who is living in brisbane area, well shit sucks and you just gotta deal with it, whether it is water flooding your house or damaging your backyard or whatever, or dealing with debris, you just have to take it one day at a time. Recovery and returning to some semblance of order is going to take time, but you know what, it's going to happen, and before you know it you will back on your couches or at your favourite cafe's laughing at the idea that what you experienced was of similar magnitude to that of what the media is portraying as a "post war zone". Give it two weeks.

Two weeks of inevitable road closures, long lines, possible loss of power and soft infrastructure. Current fears are on a slowly rising death toll, but the SES/ Armed Services/ NSW/QLD police did a great job in handling this situation, and are slowly rifling through the wreckage for potential survivors.

So never fear Brislandians, as you only lived like third world citizens for only a day.

Also inception.
